REGULATIONS OF THE POLISH SOCIETY OF LONGEVITY MEDICINE

1. General Provisions

These Regulations define the rules of operation of the Polish Society of Longevity Medicine (hereinafter referred to as the “Society”).
The Society operates on the basis of applicable law, the Statute, and these Regulations.

The objectives of the Society are:

  • Initiating and supporting scientific research on the mechanisms of aging and longevity.
  • Educating the medical community, decision-makers, and society in the field of healthy aging.
  • Developing strategies and political recommendations supporting healthy aging.
  • Promoting and implementing innovative technological solutions.
  • Protecting the integrity of science by promoting high ethical standards.

2. Membership

Any natural or legal person who:

  • accepts the goals of the Society,
  • submits the appropriate membership declaration,
  • receives a recommendation from an active member,

may become a member of the Society.

The decision to admit new members is made by the Board of the Society.

Members are divided into:

  • regular members,
  • supporting members,
  • honorary members.

Members are obliged to:

  • comply with the Statute and Regulations of the Society,
  • pay membership fees (except for honorary members),
  • safeguard the good name of the Society and actively participate in its activities.

Members have the right to:

  • participate in events, meetings, and projects of the Society,
  • access the Society’s materials and resources,
  • elect and be elected to the governing bodies of the Society (applies to regular members).

3. Membership Fees

The amount of the membership fee is determined by the General Assembly of Members upon the proposal of the Board.
Fees are payable in advance on an annual basis, by March 31 of each year.
In justified cases, the Board may exempt a member from the obligation to pay the fee in whole or in part.

4. Governing Bodies of the Society

The governing bodies of the Society are: the General Assembly of Members, the Board, and the Audit Committee.
The detailed competences of the bodies are defined in the Statute of the Society.
Meetings of the governing bodies may be held in person or online, using electronic communication tools.

5. Rules for Organizing Events

The Society organizes conferences, training sessions, workshops, and other events consistent with its statutory objectives.
Participants in events may include members of the Society as well as third parties.
The rules of participation (including fees, seat limits, and registration deadlines) are determined by the Board or a person authorized by it.

6. Communication and Information

The official communication channels of the Society are email and the website.
The Society may use social media to promote its activities.
Members are required to provide up-to-date contact information.

7. Disciplinary Provisions

A member of the Society who grossly violates the Statute, the Regulations, or acts to the detriment of the Society may be suspended in their membership rights or removed from the list of members.
The decision is made by the Board after hearing the explanations of the concerned party.
An appeal against the decision of the Board may be lodged with the General Assembly of Members.

8. Final Provisions

These Regulations enter into force on the date of their adoption by the General Assembly of Members.
In matters not regulated by these Regulations, the provisions of the Statute and applicable law shall apply.
Amendments to the Regulations require a resolution of the General Assembly of Members.
